Cookie notice

This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics, no tracking and no advertising technology on any page, and nothing here is loaded from a third party.

1. What this means in practice

• No cookie is written to your browser by this site, so there is no cookie banner and nothing for you to accept or decline.
• No analytics service is installed. We do not count visitors, measure how far you scroll, or record which links you click.
• No advertising, remarketing or social media pixel is present, and we do not build a profile of you.
• No third-party script, widget, embedded video or map is loaded. Every script on this site is written by us and served from this domain.
• The typefaces are self-hosted. The font files are served from this site, so loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts or to any other font service.
• The experience explorer on the homepage runs entirely in your browser on simulated data. Nothing you do with it is sent anywhere or stored.

The practical effect is that you can read this site without leaving a record of your visit anywhere except in your own browser history and in the server logs described below.

2. Server logs

This site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify records standard technical information each time a page is requested, including the IP address making the request, the browser and operating system it reports, the page or file requested, and the date and time. These logs exist so that the site stays available and so that abuse, such as an attempt to overload or attack the site, can be identified and stopped.

These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure, not by a cookie or a script, and they are produced whether or not a site uses cookies. We do not use them to analyse visitor behaviour, and we do not link them to any other information about you.

3. How this relates to POPIA

An IP address can, in some circumstances, identify a person, so it is treated as personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013. The processing described above is limited to keeping this site secure and available, which is a legitimate interest of ours under section 11(1)(f) of POPIA, and the information is not used for any further purpose.

Because the site sets no cookies and runs no tracking, there is no consent for you to give and nothing for you to withdraw. Your rights in relation to personal information, and the contact details for our Information Officer, are set out in our privacy notice.

4. If this changes

We have no plan to add cookies or analytics to this site. If we ever do, we will update this notice, change the date at the top, and put the appropriate consent mechanism in place before the technology goes live. We will not quietly begin tracking visitors under a notice that says we do not.
